   The second son of King charles v and brother of King charles VI, Louis, duke d'Orléans was born in Paris. He was protected by Queen isabeau of bavaria and fought for power against the dukes of Burgundy PHILIP II THE BOLD, and JEAN THE FEARLESS. Louis d'orléans's assassination by the soldiers of Duke Jean began the civil war between the Armagnacs and the Burgundians.
